[WATCH] Climate Talks: Protecting Biodiversity from the Impacts of Climate Change

Breaking Down Silos—The Role of Communication

COP27 recognized that the three existential crises—climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss—are interconnected and can only be solved together.

Working hand in hand on solutions to protect biodiversity and tackle climate change is a critical priority for the planet. How can we connect these issues in ways that inspire action?

Join the German Embassy and Consulates in Canada and The Walrus for a timely online discussion about the lessons and challenges at the intersection of biodiversity and climate-focused communication in Canada and Europe. Almost one year after the 2022 UN Biodiversity Conference in Montreal, as world leaders prepare to meet at the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference, our distinguished panel of environmental journalists and climate advocates gathers to discuss how innovative journalism and biodiversity-focused communication can break down silos and bridge divides, as well as to share transatlantic perspectives on actions, facts, and policy.
