The Walrus has signed a new sustainability partnership agreement with Bullfrog Power, Canada’s trusted sustainability solutions provider. The organization joins as the Green Events sponsor for The Walrus Talks, The Walrus Talks at Home, and The Walrus Leadership Dinners.

“Bullfrog Power has been transforming the electricity landscape in Canada for quite some time now,” says Jennifer Hollett, executive director of The Walrus. “Through our events series, we’re excited to work with Bullfrog Power to put 100% clean, pollution-free electricity on the grid.”

Bullfrog Power matches the energy used at events, be they in person or virtual, with renewable energy. This partnership plays an essential role in The Walrus’s efforts to strengthen our model for sustainable activities. By partnering with Bullfrog Power, The Walrus is reducing our environmental impact, supporting new renewable energy projects across Canada, and helping to create a cleaner, healthier world.

“We’re excited to welcome The Walrus to the bullfrogpowered community,” says Suha Jethalal, President of Bullfrog Power and a new member of the board of directors at The Walrus. “By choosing green electricity, The Walrus is helping to reduce our dependence on polluting forms of energy and transition our energy systems to renewable sources.”

Since 2005, Bullfrog Power has been Canada’s leading green energy provider. The year-round partnership with The Walrus means that Bullfrog Power’s generators will put 100 percent green electricity onto the grid to match the amount of conventional electricity each event uses. Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind, solar, and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities.

We look forward to our upcoming events season supporting the development of renewable energy projects thanks to Bullfrog Power. The season will include events taking place online, before heading to Toronto and Ottawa for a number of The Walrus Talks and Leadership Dinners.
